Traveling unwired ...

I decided to try the laptop on the bus thing with the realization that my laptop is just too big for that sort of thing.  Too bad too.  I have a lot of things I could get done in that 35-45 minute trip to and from downtown Houston each day. The seats are just too close together for my laptop.  It's a tiny bit heavy for the backpack so I don't think I can make a habbit of lugging it around either unless I go out and get a new one.  My old backpack is starting to be a bit threadbare and it probably needs retirement anyway, but I still manage to repair it regardless.  Ok, it's almost to the point its starting to look like franken-pack, lol.  Hey, it's a great backpack, I don't want to get rid of it just yet.  :P [hidepost=1] My plan was to work on game stuff and writing stuff.  I am very hesitent to work on that at work.  I don't have time except like now, at lunch to do such fun things.  Our AD is such a Luddite, he thinks that any internet at all, even at lunch is full of viruses and porno.  He's also paranoid of hackers and various other things that our firewalls are actually pretty good at keeping out.  Most security breaches around here are due to human factors like someone opening bad emails and downloading malware from some email post they got from their friends.   I don't do personal email through my work address.  Period.  I leave that online and usually disable attachments.  It happens, don't get me wrong, but gawd, there are so many things we could be doing in this office that we are not because we are still living in the 20th century where it comes to computer literacy around here. Anyway, I have a lot of good ideas to mess with my gamers this week.  And.. I cannot work on any of it because my laptop is too big for the bus.  Truthfully, I am not even sure I can game tonight because one of them is on a roadtrip to Canada.  And  I had something cool and special for him too.  haha.  We can do other nafarious things ins [...]
